What are the bike frame requirements?
Bike Frame Requirements

Your frame must:

  • Have Quick Release / Bolt on rear dropouts so that the motor can be slotted in during installation. Any frame that uses a rear-wheel thru axle will not be compatible.
  • Be an M, L or XL Sized frame. Our batteries have a large capacity, meaning a larger physical size. Please check the dimensions of the battery that are displayed on each listing photo, to confirm that it will fit on your current frame.
  • Be a hardtail frame (no rear suspension). The rear shock would usually take up too much space in the frame for the battery.
  • Be Disc-Brake compatible. All of our motor kits are supplied with standard, universal 6-bolt disc mounts. If your current frame uses a V-Brake (uses rim friction to stop), your frame is not suitable.
  • If you are still unsure, please send us a photo of your bike along with the specific details: Name, Model, Frame Size (example, Medium) and Wheel Diameter
  •  (example, 27.5”) + your desired kit at: Core.Ebikes@gmail.com
  • We aim to reply within 24hrs, and will approve your frame if it meets the listed requirements

What do the terms Voltage (V), Current (A), and Power (W) mean, and how do they affect speed and acceleration?V (Voltage): This represents the electric potential and is directly related to speed. A higher voltage generally allows for a higher speed.

A (Current): Current is measured in amperes and is related to acceleration. A higher current provides more acceleration.

W (Power): Power is the product of voltage and current, calculated as Voltage (V) x Current (A). For example, a 72V system with 60A of peak current, produces a maximum of 4320W of power.

Ah (Amp Hour): The capacity of a battery is measured in Amp Hours. The higher the Ah, the larger the battery is in terms of capacity, meaning more range.
